Welcome to my neck of the woods!
I’m Jenny Anderson, creator of Girl of 10,000 Lakes.

I am thrilled to have you here! Girl of 10,000 Lakes takes you to the Land of 10,000 Lakes and other places connected to the outdoors. My goal is to evoke inspiration and wonder through the beauty of the great outdoors.
I’m an outdoor content creator, blogger, and wife and mom. More often than not, you’ll usually see my traveling and adventuring with Nick (hubby) and Harlan (our 1-year-old). We also have a little adventure pup named Kiwi. She is the best little portaging pupper in all of the northwoods.
There are few places I’d rather be than canoeing in the Boundary Waters, ice fishing on Mille Lacs, or enjoying lake life at the cabin. But my love for all things outdoors wasn’t something always instilled in me. It’s something I discovered later on in life and that’s why no matter your experience level, I encourage you to to take more detours, step outside your comfort zone, and try something new outdoors.
I’m a former television reporter and anchor, and I’ve been lucky to tell the stories of people from all walks of life. On Girl of 10,000 Lakes, you’ll find stories, tips, inspirational videos, and photos converged into one digital platform.
I strive to connect with my community on the daily. Through blog posts, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and an email newsletter — readers and viewers can follow along as I share some of my favorite places, gear, tips and tricks, recipes, adventures and a glimpse inside our lives.
Let’s explore the forest, the lake, the valleys, the mountains, the trails, the ocean, and everywhere in between.
I’d love for you to sign up for my newsletter to keep up with my latest adventures.
