This is one my favorite views from Lake of the Woods. The Lil Hotdish is hard to miss on the ice road. And there must be HUNDREDS of fish houses on this lake, all doing what we’re doing 🎣 [see ending shot of video]. I’ve never had a busier time on the ice! My first ever Lake of the Woods ice fishing trip 🎣 was one for the books. Such a massive border lake, fantastic fishing & nightly fish fry with friends. We had a heck of a time trying to dig the Lil Hotdish out of Mille Lacs Thursday night while on our way up to LOTW. Ended up spending the night there & dug out quite literally in the morning. Nick must have shoveled a thousand pounds of snow 😵. A really kind good samaritan helped pull our SUV & Hotdish out for the final exit. Thank you, Craig! Despite the turn of events, we managed to have a fab weekend. Video of our trip coming your way soon! 🎥

Who knew! Rochester, MN is a wintry wonderland & a place to embrace these cold days with warm hearts 🧡. I partnered with @minnesotas_rochester & experienced the social event of the season aka #SocialICE in @downtownrochestermn. We had a cozy dinner & adventurous (non-alcoholic🤰 for me) cocktails at @bleuduckkitchen, went cross-country skiing through a fresh blanket of snow at Quarry Hill Park & even found time to ice skate at an outdoor rink surrounded by twinkle lights at night ✨⛸. It’s all about changing your mindset on “enduring” the winter, & instead enjoying the beauty in every season. Thank you for the hospitality @minnesotas_rochester & @centerstoneplazahotel.❄️
